How to Hypnotize Someone

How to Hypnotize Someone. If you want to learn how to hypnotize someone for fun, the word to use is hypnosis, not hypnotherapy. The latter is performed by a professional person to help people recover from addictions, traumas, or other personal disorders. This article will deal with recreational hypnosis which is safe and entertaining. Hypnosis is safe and much easier to perform than you may think. You will probably be surprised to learn that every day you get into a state of natural hypnosis. This can occur while being absorbed in a movie, daydreaming, or reading a book. It is caused by the subconscious part of your brain being more alert than the conscious part.

Steps

1. Here’s how to go about hypnotizing a person. He or she should lie or sit in a comfortable position. The tone of your voice must be soothing, slow, and relaxing. Ask the subject to take a very deep breath and then slowly exhale. The eyes should be closed at this stage.

2. Talk the subject through the process of relaxation. Mention parts of the body, starting with the head. Say that a deep sense of relaxation is starting to envelope the head, neck, and shoulders. Then, move on to the back, stomach, legs, and arms. Tell your subject that all his or her muscles are feeling loose, tired, and limp.

3. Essentially, what you are trying to do is to communicate with the sub-conscious state of mind. Continually give positive reassurances by telling your subject that he or she is doing just fine. For most people, the procedure takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

4. This is how to hypnotize someone and, as you can see, it is a simple process if the subject is willing. At your suggestion, you can then get them to do crazy, funny things. To bring him or her out of hypnosis, say that you are going to count to five. Tell your subject that on waking, there will be a wonderful sense of relaxation and refreshment.
